Spatial propositions
I think of my drawing practice as sculptural - the weight of line, the mass of a form created through erasure and reapplication of tone, the interlocking and overlapping of shapes, line, edge, and their representation all come into play. I see them as being like an instruction manual as to how to think about the haptic surface and experience of a work or space.
Measuring, demarcating, puncturing, finding, marking space within its confines. Drawings for me are propositions for the potential of occurrence and contain the latent recipes for action.
